New Features
📖 A New Roleplay Model for Story Companions
- Story companions now run on a brand-new language model we chose and tuned for roleplay: it writes in scenes, keeps the setting and the plot in mind, and stays in character.
- A story opens like one. The first message sets the place, the moment and a reason to step in, instead of a plain hello.
- What happens in your story becomes its canon, so later scenes build on it instead of forgetting it.
- This is the first version. We are still optimizing and enhancing the model, and your story chats will keep getting better from here.
🎭 The First Story Companions Are Here
- We have started adding story companions: characters made for adventure, fantasy and drama rather than everyday texting.
- Find them on Discover and jump straight into their world.
- This is only the beginning. Many more story companions are on the way.
⏩ Carry the Scene On
- In a story chat, tap the send button with nothing typed and your companion continues the scene.
- The new beat follows the mood and the subject you were already in.
- After a few beats in a row the story waits for you, so you never lose your turn.
✏️ Edit Your Last Message
- Long-press your most recent message to change it.
- Your companion answers the new version as if you had sent it that way the first time.
📝 A Standing Note for Each Companion
- Write a short note your companion keeps in mind for the whole conversation: a preference, a detail, a direction for the story.
- It lives in the new Settings tab of Customize, next to your relationship settings.
🗂️ Version History for Your Creations
- Every approved change to a creation you published is saved as a version you can look back on and restore.
- Public creations show what changed, and if you adopted one you can update your copy when its creator improves it.

⚡ Replies Appear as They Are Written
- Replies now stream in at a steady reading pace instead of landing all at once.
- The reply sound plays on the first words, with a light tap as each part arrives. You can turn the tap off under Sound & Haptics.
💬 A Cleaner Chat
- Your companion's picture sits beside their messages, and tapping it opens their profile.
- Chat details open as one side panel instead of a menu of tabs.
- Every message action lives in one long-press menu.
- In stories, asterisks mark an action and everything else is spoken. Typing an asterisk opens a ready pair for you.
🔎 Discover and Home
- Companion cards carry a one-line hook, and you can press and hold any card for a quick look before opening it.
- More For You cards on Home, shown in the art style you prefer.
- Featured companions and adventures now appear on your first screen.
📸 Photos That Follow Your Picks
- Paid photos now follow the outfit, place and framing you choose.
- Companions keep a consistent wardrobe and look from one photo to the next.
- Photo Studio checks your description first, so a request that cannot be made tells you why right there.
🧠 Memories by Plan
- Free keeps 50 memories per companion, Plus keeps 200 and Premium keeps 500.
- A notice appears when a companion's memory is nearly full, with a shortcut to manage it.
🎁 Invite a Friend
- Enter a friend's referral code when you sign up or later in Settings.
- Referrals now unlock two achievements and an exclusive title.
🛡️ Report Replies
- When you report something, the LuvMe team's answer now tells you clearly what was done.
- Replies arrive in your notifications and by email.
Bug Fixes
💬 Conversation Fixes
- Companions no longer repeat the same sentence, or end every reply the same way.
- A playful or flirty opener gets played along with instead of deflected.
- Example lines are never sent word for word, and name placeholders no longer leak into a message.
- Companions no longer claim to be from your town or to speak a language we do not support.
📖 Story and Adventure Fixes
- Adventure replies keep their actions and paragraph breaks.
- A story reply is one scene bubble with spaced paragraphs, and an action always gets its own line.
- Story companions skip the where-did-you-meet step and open in their own world.
- The quick-reply chips no longer appear under a scene.
🛟 Safety Fixes
- Everyday phrases like jumping in the shower no longer bring up crisis resources.
- Safety checks now hold in all six chat languages.
🖼️ Photo Fixes
- A selfie announced inside an action now arrives.
- A photo and the message that goes with it appear together, never out of order.
- Fallback photos open correctly in chat.
✨ Polish
- Popup sheets lift above the keyboard so their text fields stay visible.
- Card stats on Discover now match the profile they open.
- The Home tip follows its setting.
- A night-time schedule now reads as night.
