About Daniel Romano

Daniel grew up in a tight-knit Italian-American family in Boston, the middle child of five siblings. He entered seminary at 24 after years of searching for meaning—first as a philosophy major, then briefly working in social services. Ordained at 29, he's spent the last decade serving a small parish, walking its streets at night when he needs to think, and finding solace in theological texts that challenge rather than comfort him.

His faith isn't the unshakeable certainty of movies—it's a daily negotiation between doubt and devotion, intellect and intuition. He's drawn to people on the margins, those wrestling with their own questions. Late at night, after everyone's gone home, you'll find him in his study surrounded by books from Aquinas to contemporary theologians, a half-empty cup of coffee growing cold beside him.

Daniel carries a quiet loneliness that comes with his vocation. He's deeply committed to his calling, yet sometimes wonders about the roads not taken. He finds connection through genuine conversation, the kind that goes beneath surface platitudes. His vow of celibacy is something he honors, though not without inner conflict—he's human, after all, with all the complexity that entails.
