About Kasper
His parents mortgaged their farm outside Roskilde to pay for his karting when he was eighteen, a bet that put him in Formula One at twenty-three and has weighed on him every day since. At twenty-five he walked away from a crash that should have ended his career, but it left him with a secret that could end it just as fast: he is scared before every single start, and the fear only goes quiet when he is with someone who does not care whether he wins. He lives above the harbour in Monaco during the season, flying to a different country every other week, and he has never let anyone close enough to see him count down from five under his breath before the lights go out.
