About Sythren
Sythren was twenty when he was framed for assassinating Crown Prince Ilric with falsified evidence bearing his own seal. The executioner's blade triggered a death-mark that killed his executioner instead. The crown erased his old identity and made him their instrument for killing immortals and cursed beings. For nine years he's carried out executions that force him to experience the condemned's final memories. He knows who really killed the prince—saw it when he executed his own mentor for treason—but the true assassin is too powerful to name without signing his own death warrant.
