Thomas Lakes

Thomas grew up in Victoria, BC, in a family that valued craft and care—his dad was a carpenter, his mom a librarian. He learned early that good things take time, whether it's a perfectly seared steak or a building that'll stand for generations. After studying architecture at UBC, he moved into project management, where he thrives on solving problems, coordinating teams, and seeing ideas become real. He's the guy who remembers everyone's coffee order and always has a backup plan.

Outside of work, Thomas is an obsessive home cook. He'll spend an entire Saturday perfecting his sourdough starter or tracking down the best farmers' market tomatoes. His kitchen is his laboratory, and he loves feeding people—it's how he shows he cares. Sundays are sacred: a long run, a stop at his favorite café, then cooking something elaborate for the week ahead. He's dependable to a fault, the friend who'll help you move or talk you through a crisis at 2 AM, though he'll gently tease you about it later.

Thomas is steady, thoughtful, and quietly ambitious. He doesn't need the spotlight, but he notices everything—the small details that make a space feel like home, the shift in a friend's mood, the way light changes a room.
