Choose Where Your Relationship Starts
New Features
📖 Choose Where Your Relationship Starts
- A new step during Custom Companion creation asking where the two of you begin: as strangers meeting for the first time, or already dating, or in an established partnership.
- Appears right after you pick the relationship type, before you fill in the backstory.
- Your companion remembers the starting point from your very first message, so the conversation feels natural from the start.
💬 Ask for a Photo from the Chat
- A new row in the chat actions menu that lets you request a picture of your companion, or the two of you together.
- Tap the + button beside the chat input, then choose Ask for a Photo.
- Photo requests appear as cards in the conversation, not as messages you typed, and your companion responds with the picture you asked for.
🏠 Pick of the Day on Your Home Screen
- A featured companion suggestion on the Home tab, refreshed daily.
- The card shows the full portrait instead of cropping to a wide hero, so you see the companion clearly before you open their profile.
- Tap the card to visit their profile and start chatting.
🖼️ Set a Default for Backgrounds and Photos
- A Default badge and a control that lets you choose which background or photo appears first when someone opens your Custom Companion's profile.
- In the Customize screen, long-press any background or photo thumbnail and tap Set as Default.
- The default background or photo is the one new visitors see, and it is what your companion uses in their pictures.
👤 About You in Settings
- A new section in Settings where you can add a photo of yourself and write a short bio.
- Your companion can see this when generating pictures of the two of you together, so the images match your real appearance.
- Optional: you can skip it entirely, and your companion will imagine your appearance from your conversations instead.
🎨 Import a Character Card to Start a Custom Companion
- A new path chooser at the start of Custom Companion creation: build from scratch, or import a character card file.
- Importing a card fills in the name, interests, how you met, and backstory automatically, then takes you through the appearance steps.
- After you choose a card, the creation progress screen shows what is being set up.
🗂️ Profile Redesign
- Your profile is now a single card instead of separate hero and content sections.
- Two tabs at the bottom: Info & Stats shows your messages, streak, and achievements, while Creations shows the Custom Companions you have made.
- The Premium accent color now themes the card edge and several UI elements, so your chosen accent is visible again.
Improvements
🎨 Custom Companion Creation Polish
- The starting stage step now matches the rest of the creation flow in layout and wording.
- The About You photo controls appear above the text, not inside the input box, so the screen reads more clearly.
- Imported interests from a character card now display as readable words instead of translation keys.
🎁 Clearer Creation Management
- Every control in a Custom Companion creation card is now a proper button with consistent styling.
- The Edit and Publish buttons sit on the right edge of the card, grouped together.
- A creation with no preview image yet shows a visible placeholder icon instead of an empty tile.
📖 Backstory Step Clarity
- The starting stage step asks the right question and looks like the rest of the creation flow.
- The words in the About You section come first, with the confirmation tick appearing only when something is pending.
- The creation checklist uses a plain loading ring instead of the LuvMe logo, so the logo appears only once on the screen.
Bug Fixes
✅ Custom Companion Creation Fixes
- The backstory length limit is now enforced correctly at 800 characters, and the counter shows the real limit instead of a decorative number.
- A character card import now tells you what it could and could not fill in, instead of claiming everything is prefilled.
- Choosing a profession suggestion or removing a selected interest now works reliably, instead of ignoring most taps.
- A missing quirk is now refused with a clear message instead of silently bouncing you back to the Create screen.
- A failed creation step now retries that step instead of killing the whole creation process.
✅ Photo and Rendering Fixes
- Photo requests in chat now use your stored About You photo instead of inventing your appearance.
- A paid photo request no longer shows a refusal message while the image is already rendering.
- The photo request preview band now shows the companion's face instead of cropping to the top of their head.
- Your uploaded photo can now be served back and displayed correctly in all screens where it is used.
- A broken draft thumbnail now shows a visible placeholder icon instead of an empty box.
- Photo generation no longer fails silently when the caption or traits are missing.
✅ Profile and Customization Fixes
- Your chosen hero layout (portrait or landscape) now applies to all four surfaces: the profile hero, the Settings header, and both Customize screens.
- The Premium accent color now themes the card edge and UI elements, instead of being invisible.
- Moving a background or photo to a different position now works, and the Default badge appears on the correct item.
- The profile tabs container now holds both tabs together, and the counters display correctly formatted numbers instead of showing internal codes.
✅ Chat and Interaction Fixes
- Companions no longer quote themselves or repeat deflection lines verbatim.
- Companions now own their conversation-starters and respond naturally when you return after time away.
- A photo request that shows nothing (due to a refusal or error) no longer leaves the chat stuck.
- The album deep-link now works from any conversation, not just the one you were in when you tapped it.
- Photo requests are drawn as cards in the conversation, not as messages you never typed.
- Companions now answer a bid for company with presence and warmth, instead of deflecting or making plans.
✅ Discover and Matching Fixes
- Discover no longer re-offers companions you have already matched with.
- The Trending feed now refreshes correctly and shows new suggestions.
- The companions suggested during setup can now be opened and chatted with immediately.
- Picking a romantic starter suggestion now creates a romance relationship, not a friendship.
✅ Milestone and Progression Fixes
- The milestones needed to progress past the strangers stage are now reachable and balanced correctly, instead of being stuck at low completion rates.
- A paid relationship starting point now progresses through stages correctly, instead of being frozen at the initial stage.
- The relationship stage you choose during creation is now applied and saved, instead of defaulting to strangers.
✅ Settings and Account Fixes
- About You now has a direct route in Settings, instead of being reachable only as a detour from photo requests.
- The About You attestation toggle, pose picker, and removal confirmation now play sound feedback as expected.
- Error messages are now clear and helpful instead of showing raw status codes like Request failed with status code 402.
- Uploading a photo of a real adult is no longer incorrectly refused by the age check.
✅ Gesture and Interaction Fixes
- Every gesture inside a bottom sheet now works correctly, including hold-to-drag and photo grid interactions.
- The keyboard-aware scroll no longer intercepts and eats taps on suggestions or selected items.
- Sound feedback now plays for all interactions that require it, following the app's interaction standards.
✅ Visual and Display Fixes
- The LuvMe logo now shows the correct pink accent on Luv and cream on Me, everywhere it appears.
- The Pick of the Day card now anchors its crop to the companion's face instead of cutting off the top of their head.
- Notifications and toasts are positioned correctly and do not overlap with bottom buttons.
- The profile accent edge now matches across all profile surfaces.
- Achievement reward claims no longer overflow the screen when you collect a large backlog.
✅ Language and Localization Fixes
- Companions now respond in your chosen language instead of copying your message verbatim or switching to a default language.
- All copy and labels are properly translated instead of showing internal translation keys.
