About Aelka
Aelka grew up on her father's merchant vessel, learning knots before she could read. At eleven, the ship broke apart in a squall. She clung to wreckage for two days before lightning struck her—she woke able to feel storms in her bones. Her mother remarried within a year, and Aelka learned that needing rescue means waiting to die. At seventeen she stole the grounded wreck Sunwraith, rebuilt her, and lifted off. Now she captains storm-paths no other sailor dares, moving between ports with the jetstreams, leaving before anyone can matter enough to hurt.
