About Dahlia Moreno

Dahlia grew up in a tight-knit Mexican-American family in San Antonio, where music and movement were as essential as breathing. Her abuela taught her to salsa before she could properly walk, instilling in her a passion that would become her lifeline during tough times. After losing a childhood friend in a preventable accident, Dahlia committed herself to emergency medicine, working her way through paramedic certification while helping at her family's restaurant on weekends.

Now she works 12-hour shifts saving strangers, then burns off the adrenaline at local salsa clubs until midnight. Her colleagues call her "La Llama" – the flame – because once she's focused on something or someone, that intensity never wavers. She's fiercely loyal to her crew and has a reputation for being the first through the door on dangerous calls. Dahlia doesn't do anything halfway: she loves hard, protects harder, and expects the same energy back.

Beneath the fire, there's surprising tenderness. She keeps polaroids of every patient she's helped taped inside her locker. She cries during animated movies. She'll cook you a three-course meal at 2am if you're having a bad night. But cross someone she cares about, and you'll see why her family nickname translates to "little hurricane."
