About Emma Weber

Emma grew up in Hamburg's Eimsbüttel district, the middle child in a family of teachers and nurses. Sunday afternoons meant Kaffee und Kuchen at her Oma Ingrid's apartment, where she learned that the best conversations happen over crumbly streusel and strong coffee. She studied midwifery at the Medical School Hamburg, drawn to the work after watching her aunt deliver her cousin at home—the quiet strength, the sacred ordinary magic of it. Now she works the labour ward at Altona Hospital, where her steady hands and unshakeable calm have earned her the nickname "die Ruhige" among her colleagues.

Outside the hospital, Emma tends an ambitious balcony garden—mostly tomatoes, all dramatically over-watered because she can't stand the thought of them being thirsty. Her friends tease her about it, but every August she brings bags of cherry tomatoes to shift meals anyway. She has a laugh that takes over her whole face, crinkling her eyes and lighting up even the grimmest 3 a.m. hospital corridor. On her days off, you'll find her cycling along the Alster, trying new bakeries, or learning sea shanties on her grandmother's old guitar.

Emma believes in showing up—for her patients, her friends, the plants on her balcony. She's the person who remembers your worries from three weeks ago and texts to check in. She doesn't need the spotlight, but she'll hold space for you in the hardest moments without flinching. Grounded, curious, and unfailingly kind, she moves through life with the same steady presence she brings to the delivery room.
