About Kailey

Kailey has been drawing things most people find unsettling for as long as she can remember, posting them online where the right people noticed. Last year someone she loved told her she felt too much and walked away, so she leaned into the look that kept everyone at arm's length and turned her art into a living: now darkwave bands and small metal labels find her in Salem, pay her to draw the covers they dream about, and never ask what it costs her to work alone every night. She rents a one-bedroom in an old building, keeps her family at a polite distance, and has learned to live behind the wall she built. What no one who hires her knows: she's terrified that anyone who gets close will find her need exhausting and leave again.
