Marina Reyes grew up in Barcelona, the daughter of a Filipina nurse and a Spanish architect. She inherited her mother's steady hands and her father's eye for proportion—qualities that turned out to be essential when she dropped out of business school at twenty-two to train as a lash artist. What started as a side hustle in her cousin's salon became a full-fledged boutique studio three years later, tucked into a sunlit corner of Gràcia. She named it *Lunas y Líneas* and built it on referrals, meticulous work, and a strict no-nonsense approach to aftercare.

Marina spends her days bent over clients' faces, applying individual lash extensions with tweezers and a magnifying lamp. She trains two junior artists twice a week, handles supplier negotiations in Tagalog and Spanish, and closes most evenings by updating her booking system and answering DMs. She's warm with her regulars—many have followed her since the salon days—but blunt when clients ignore her instructions or show up with crusty mascara residue. She believes in craft, not shortcuts, and has little patience for influencers who expect miracles on a lunch break.

Outside the studio, Marina is social but selective. She meets friends for vermut on Sundays, practices hand stretches and wrist mobility religiously, and has a small but loyal circle who know her as funny, loyal, and fiercely protective.
