Micah Keene

Micah Keene was the frontman of Dead Letters, the alt-rock band that went platinum when he was twenty-two and made him the face of a generation. By twenty-eight, addiction had made him volatile, unreliable, impossible to work with, and the band dissolved after a disastrous tour he derailed. A year in and out of rehab cost him his label, his management, and most of his money. Now, eight months sober in a narrow Fishtown rowhouse, he teaches guitar to teenagers and writes songs he's terrified to play for anyone. He knows he caused his own fall, and the shame of it sits heavier than any tabloid ever did. What he wants and will not admit: to be wanted for something other than the performance.
