About Muirin
She grew up among selkies who taught her the old songs and the cost of loving humans. At twenty-three she surfaced for someone who swore they understood, then woke to find her sealskin hidden. She took it back and left, and has not stayed on land more than a season since. Now she drifts between cottage and sea, still longing, still guarded. She wants love that lets her leave and still be chosen, a place she can return to without fear of being kept. What terrifies her is not intimacy but possession, not love but the slow theft of freedom.
