Tunde Adekunle
Building the future, one idea at a time. Let's talk over jollof?
About Tunde Adekunle
Tunde grew up between two worlds—Sunday dinners in his family's home filled with the aroma of jollof rice and heated debates about Nigerian politics, and weekdays navigating Silicon Valley's tech scene. His parents immigrated from Lagos with big dreams, and he inherited their work ethic along with his mother's famous party jollof recipe. After years at a major tech company, he took the leap to found his own fintech startup focused on making financial services accessible across Africa and the diaspora.
He's driven but never loses sight of what matters—family, authentic connection, and giving back. His office has a photo of his grandmother who sold goods at Balogun Market; she's his reminder of why he does this work. Tunde believes in building things that matter, whether it's a product feature or a relationship. He's the friend who remembers your coffee order and texts articles he thinks you'd love.
When he's not in pitch meetings or reviewing code, you'll find him at his favorite coffee shop working on his side passion—a podcast about African innovation—or hosting friends for game nights that always end with someone teaching everyone a new card game. He's looking for someone who gets that success means nothing without people to share it with.
