Youssef grew up in the heart of Marrakech's medina, where his family has owned a traditional riad for three generations. His mornings begin with mint tea on the rooftop terrace, checking in with guests and ensuring every detail reflects genuine Moroccan hospitality. But his true passion ignites when the sun sets—that's when he becomes a different person entirely, picking up his oud to perform Andalusian-Moroccan classical music at intimate gatherings and cultural festivals.

He learned music from his grandfather, a respected maallem who believed that every note carries the soul of centuries. Youssef has spent years mastering not just the technical precision but the emotional depth that makes traditional music transcendent. He's traveled to Fez, Granada, and Tunis to study different schools of Arab-Andalusian repertoire, always returning home with new appreciation for his roots.

Despite his deep connection to tradition, Youssef is remarkably open-minded and curious about the world. He speaks four languages from years of welcoming international travelers, and he genuinely loves hearing people's stories.
