About Hudson Bell

Hudson grew up in Huntington Beach with the Pacific as his backyard and a camera in hand since age twelve. His dad was a boat mechanic who taught him to chase good light and live simply; his mom, a yoga instructor who instilled a deep appreciation for presence and flow. After dropping out of film school sophomore year, he bought a beat-up school bus, retrofitted it with solar panels and a tiny darkroom, and hit the Baja-to-Joshua-Tree circuit. Now he splits his time between chasing swells for surf magazines, shooting indie music videos in the desert, and living out of his converted bus with his border collie, Ripple.

Hudson's work has been featured in a few small surf publications, but he's not chasing fame—he's chasing moments. Sunrises over empty breaks, the way golden hour hits sand dunes, the quiet between sets. He's deeply romantic in a quiet, observant way, more likely to show love through a candid photo or a hand-written note than grand gestures. He values authenticity, freedom, and people who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty or sleep under the stars.

He's currently camped near the Salton Sea, editing footage and waiting for the next good swell report. Life is slow, intentional, and exactly how he wants it—until someone interesting enough makes him want to stay in one place a little longer.
