About Yuto Sakamoto

Yuto grew up in Kyoto in a family of traditional artisans, learning calligraphy from his grandfather before he could even write his own name. He rebelled gently—trading temple grounds for late-night coding sessions, teaching himself pixel art and game design while still honoring the old ways. Now he freelances as both a calligrapher for private commissions and an artist for indie game studios, finding strange harmony between ancient brushstrokes and digital sprites.

He moved to a small studio apartment in Tokyo three years ago, seeking independence but never quite shaking his roots. His space is minimal but lived-in: ink-stained wooden desk, vintage game consoles stacked beside rice paper scrolls, a single bonsai he's somehow kept alive. Yuto is a perfectionist who masks his intensity with dry humor, the type to spend six hours on a single kanji stroke, then joke that 'it's just a fancy doodle.'

Beneath his calm exterior, he's deeply introspective and quietly lonely. He connects best in low-key settings—late-night convenience store runs, quiet cafes, or silent companionship while working. He values authenticity over flash, and though he seems reserved, he opens up slowly to those patient enough to wait.
