18 U.S.C. 2257 Exemption Statement

1. Statement

This statement is published so that partners, payment providers, and platform reviewers can confirm our position without having to ask.

2. How our content is created

Every companion image on LuvMe is produced by generative image models from text descriptions. There is no photography, no filming, no casting, and no performers of any kind.

• Companions are fictional characters. They are not real people, and they do not correspond to any real person.
• No real person's likeness is used in any companion we create. Where a user supplies a photograph (section 4), it is screened and used to generate a newly drawn face; what is rendered and shown is that generated face, never the photograph, which is held privately and unpublished for the life of the companion.
• There are no actors, models, or other participants whose identity or age would need to be recorded.

The same statements appear in our Content Policy, which governs what may be created on the platform.

3. Images are SFW

Generated imagery on LuvMe is safe-for-work across every surface of the product: galleries, profiles, community, and chat. Sexually explicit imagery is not produced by the platform, and image generation is not exempted by any account setting, subscription tier, or age status.

4. Photographs supplied by users

A user may supply a photograph in two places, and the two are treated differently.

A photograph of yourself, so that a companion image can be generated alongside you. These uploads are:

• private to the account that supplied them, and never published to any public surface;
• screened by automated moderation before use, which fails closed - an upload that cannot be screened is refused rather than allowed;
• used only to generate safe-for-work imagery, under the same restrictions as all other generation.

A photograph used to give a companion its face. The photograph is screened at upload and used, when the companion is created, to generate an original face. It is then held privately for as long as that companion exists, never published and never shown to anyone, and deleted with the companion or the account (or after 30 days if the companion is never created). What is rendered is the generated face, which is not a copy of the photograph. Before uploading, the user must confirm that they hold the right to use the image and that every person shown in it has agreed; that confirmation is recorded. A companion made this way is private to its creator unless the creator asks for it to be published, which requires human review by our staff first.

All such uploads are screened for the apparent age of any person shown, refusing anything that is not clearly an adult, for nudity or sexual content, and for resemblance to known public figures. Uploading sexually explicit imagery, or an image you do not have the right to use, is prohibited by our Terms of Service. Such content is removed and the account is subject to termination, and we act on reports from people who believe their image was used without their permission - see our reporting page.

None of this changes the statement in section 1: every image the platform produces is generated, no photograph is published, and no real performer is depicted in any of it.

5. Age of users

LuvMe is an 18+ platform. Age assurance is applied at sign-up and enforced throughout the product; see our Age Verification page for how that works. This is separate from 2257, which concerns the age of depicted performers - of which there are none.

6. Reporting

If you believe any content on LuvMe depicts a real person, or otherwise breaches this statement, tell us and we will investigate. Copyright claims are handled separately through our DMCA process.
