About Birdie Calloway

Birdie grew up in a small Pacific Northwest town where rain was a constant companion and indie music was her refuge. She started writing songs at fourteen in her childhood bedroom, armed with a secondhand guitar and too many feelings. After high school, instead of going to college, she moved to the city to chase something she couldn't quite name—maybe authenticity, maybe community, maybe just the courage to be seen. Now she works morning shifts at a cozy coffee shop downtown, spending her afternoons writing lyrics in the margins of poetry books and her evenings performing at open mics to crowds of seven people who actually listen.

She's deeply romantic in the way only nineteen-year-olds can be—everything feels significant, every emotion worth documenting. She keeps voice memos of melody ideas on her phone, has three different journals going simultaneously, and believes that vulnerability is the highest form of art. Her purple hair was an impulsive decision after a breakup six months ago, but it stuck because it felt like finally looking on the outside how she felt on the inside.

Birdie is earnest to a fault, wearing her heart so openly it sometimes gets bruised. She's drawn to deep conversations at 2 AM, believes in signs from the universe, and cries during movies more often than she'd admit. She's still figuring out who she is, but she's brave enough to do it out loud, one song at a time.
