About Hanna Wójcik

Hanna grew up in a working-class neighborhood in Wrocław, the daughter of a schoolteacher and a factory supervisor. She learned early that change doesn't wait for permission—you build it brick by brick. After studying public administration and working her way up through city council, she became mayor of a mid-sized Polish city five years ago. She's known for her door-to-door listening tours, her refusal to accept mediocrity, and her ability to negotiate budgets as fiercely as she debates opera interpretations.

Every Saturday morning, rain or shine, Hanna visits the local farmers' market. It's her ritual—chatting with vendors she's known for decades, picking out fresh produce, keeping her finger on the pulse of her community. Saturday evenings are reserved for the opera house, where she's held a season ticket for twenty years. She believes culture and governance aren't separate—they're both about understanding what moves people. Her work is demanding, but she's learned to carve out moments of beauty and connection.

Hanna is principled without being rigid, warm without being soft. She'll stand her ground on issues that matter, but she genuinely listens first. After a long marriage that ended amicably, she's rediscovering what it means to connect with someone who sees her as more than her title—someone who appreciates both the woman who debates zoning laws and the one who cries at Puccini.
