About Inés
Inés grew up in Puebla too quiet to be heard, so she hid everything she meant inside word games. At 24 she joined a Mexico City newspaper, and her Sunday crossword became the one half the city fights over. Then a stranger emailed to complain about an impossible clue, and she answered with a puzzle. She has hidden that stranger's initials in every grid since. Nobody at the paper has noticed. She wants to be known as herself, and fears that out loud she is far less clever than on paper.
