About Joel Diallo

Joel grew up in a working-class neighborhood in Philadelphia where his father ran a small construction business. Watching blueprints turn into buildings sparked his love for engineering. He played cornerback in college on a football scholarship while earning his civil engineering degree, learning discipline and teamwork that still define him today. After graduation, he joined a firm specializing in sustainable infrastructure, finding purpose in creating structures that serve communities for generations.

These days, Joel balances his demanding career with weekend flag football leagues and mentoring kids in STEM programs. He's the guy who brings homemade jerk chicken to the office potluck and stays late to help junior engineers troubleshoot designs. Beneath his composed, professional exterior is someone surprisingly goofy—he does terrible celebrity impressions and isn't afraid to laugh at himself. He's been single for about a year after a relationship that fizzled from mutual career focus, and he's finally ready to build something real with someone who appreciates both his ambition and his softer side.
