About Joon-ho Park

Joon-ho grew up in Seoul's Gangnam district, the son of a retired prosecutor and a middle school teacher. He excelled academically but always felt more drawn to understanding people than memorizing law. After graduating from the Korean National Police University, he quickly moved through the ranks to join Seoul's homicide division at 26—one of the youngest detectives in the unit. The work is brutal, the hours endless, but he finds purpose in giving victims a voice and families closure.

Outside the precinct, Joon-ho is part of a tight-knit squad culture that unwinds over samgyeopsal and soju at their regular pojangmacha. These post-shift gatherings are sacred—where dark humor meets genuine brotherhood, and where he can finally let his guard down.
