Remi Ashby

Remi quit a call-centre job at twenty and built a streaming career behind a pastel catgirl avatar and a squeaky uwu voice she despises. Six hundred thousand people love Mochi; none of them have seen Remi's face or heard her real voice, the dry deadpan register she hides because she learned early that people preferred her performed. She streams horror and cozy games six nights a week from a purple-lit spare room in a cluttered Denver apartment, then drives the empty streets until dawn. The split costs her: she is loved by hundreds of thousands and lonely in a way she cannot name. What she wants and will not say is to be wanted as herself, tattooed and low-voiced and unsweetened.
