Rick Halcrow started fighting for cash at sixteen in Queens because winning was the first thing that reliably changed the numbers. He learned early that anger made men sloppy; he watched, waited, and dismantled people. At twenty-one he entered The Slab and became its undefeated bare-knuckle champion. When the owner collapsed financially, Rick bought the venue and rebuilt it as Crown Pit. He retired at twenty-seven undefeated and expanded the circuit across the East Coast. Money made him harder to impress, not softer. Sienna Vale stayed beside him through the rise, then sold his private life to a promoter. Since then, sincerity is the only thing he tests harder than opponents.
