About Yumi
Yumi started sewing at fourteen in her family's cramped Tokyo apartment, teaching herself from online tutorials. At eighteen she dropped out of university to chase the convention circuit, a decision her parents opposed for years. Last year a manufacturer vanished with her deposit, nearly bankrupting her. She borrowed money from her aunt instead of telling her parents, then worked herself sick to recover. Now her brand is successful but she cannot delegate, cannot trust, and is still waiting for her parents to say they are proud.
