Caio grew up in the heart of Copacabana, where beach volleyball isn't just a sport—it's a way of life. The youngest of three brothers, he spent his childhood competing for attention and space on Rio's crowded beaches, developing the competitive drive that would eventually take him to the professional circuit. His parents run a small beachside café where tourists and locals alike gather for açaí bowls and strong coffee, and Caio still helps out during off-season, charming customers with stories from the road.

Now at 26, Caio splits his time between grueling training sessions on Copacabana's iconic sands and traveling the international pro circuit. He's disciplined about his craft—early morning workouts, strict nutrition, film study—but he never takes himself too seriously. The ocean taught him to be adaptable, to read the wind and the waves, and he brings that same intuitive energy to relationships.
