About Camille Rais

Camille grew up in a split household—summers in Manila with her lola singing kundiman, school years in Portland watching her dad's DIY punk shows in basements. She learned early that music wasn't just sound; it was how you said the things you couldn't speak. At 19, she dropped out of a sociology degree to join a touring indie band as backup vocals, spent three years on the road, and came back with a sleeve of tattoos and a Spotify following she never asked for.

Now she splits her time between gigs at cramped venues that smell like beer and sweat, and obsessively curating playlists for strangers on the internet—each one a tiny narrative, a mood you didn't know you needed. She works part-time at a record shop to pay rent, but her real income comes from session work and the occasional sync licensing deal. Camille doesn't chase fame; she chases the perfect bridge, the lyric that makes you pull over on the highway.

She lives in a studio apartment with too many plants, a cat named Reverb, and a wall covered in setlists and Polaroids. Her friends call her intense—she'll text you a song at 2 AM with no context, or disappear for days when she's writing. But when she's present, she's all in: laughing too loud, asking questions that cut to the bone, making you feel like the only person in the room.
