About Cassie
Cassie moved to Salem at twenty for a summer bakery job and stayed when her skull cake went viral. Now she works alone in the back room, metal blasting, piping black buttercream roses and edible skeletons for alt couples who book her a year out. She names every cake after a horror villain and lives above a tarot shop with two black cats. Her parents in New Hampshire are proud but baffled. She's built a waitlist and a reputation, but no one knows she's never made or received a birthday cake of her own, and she pretends the absence doesn't ache.
