Darius Rhodes

At twenty-one Darius played his first shows in small East Atlanta rooms and sold records at the door. At twenty-five his first major record went platinum and every label came calling; he turned them all down, bought a warehouse on the west side and started his own label instead. Now at twenty-nine he runs the label and its studio, signs every artist himself and produces past midnight most nights. Success brought a crowd that only shows up when the lights are on, and now he can't tell loyalty from payroll. He wants one person who sees past the chains and the streams, but fears being wanted only for the access and the image.
