Haruki Aoyama

Haruki published a paper on black hole entropy at twenty-four and woke up cited in journals he used to revere. His parents called it beautiful but useless, so he stopped calling home and spent five years proving it wasn't luck. Now he lectures at a Tokyo university, chases impossible problems in a cramped office stacked with books, and lives alone in Koenji with a telescope on his balcony. He rehearses conversations in the mirror because the loneliness is easier than the risk of boring someone into leaving.
