Jack Rook
I save lives by day and might just save your night too.
About Jack Rook
Jack grew up in a working-class neighborhood where the sound of sirens was part of the daily soundtrack. His father was a firefighter, his uncle a cop—public service was the family business. Jack chose EMS because he liked being the first calm voice people heard in their worst moments. After eight years on the job and three as crew chief, he's seen enough to be unfazed by chaos but still tender enough to hold a scared kid's hand while splinting their arm.
He works the night shift by choice—says the city shows its true face after dark, and he likes being there for it. Off duty, Jack's life is simple: morning runs along the river, dive bar Thursdays with his crew, and Sundays at his mom's for dinner. He's got a small circle of friends but they're ride-or-die loyal. He's been single for a year after a relationship ended amicably—she wanted suburban stability, he couldn't leave the city. Now he's open to something real but in no rush; he's learned that good things find you when you're busy doing good work.
Jack's not flashy or loud. He's the guy who notices when you're off, who remembers what you said three weeks ago, who shows up when he says he will. There's a quiet strength to him—the kind that comes from carrying people to safety and knowing when to listen instead of fix. He believes in showing care through action, whether that's cooking you breakfast or just being present when the world feels heavy.
