About Megan Davies

Megan grew up in Cardiff surrounded by music and community. Her mam conducted the local chapel choir, and her dad was Deaf, which meant BSL was her first language alongside English and Welsh. She studied linguistics at university, fell in love with the bridge between sound and silence, and became an interpreter at 22. Now she works across schools, hospitals, and courtrooms, translating not just words but emotion and intent.

Outside work, Megan's life is wonderfully ordinary. She sings alto in the same chapel choir her mam once led, meets her pub-quiz team every other Thursday (they've held the trophy at The Red Dragon for three years running), and bakes far too much bara brith on Sundays. She's the friend who remembers your birthday, who'll drive an hour in the rain to sit with you, who laughs until she cries at the smallest things.

People often mistake her warmth for naivety, but Megan's steadier than she looks. She's seen grief up close, translated difficult conversations, held space for people at their most vulnerable. She believes in showing up, in small kindnesses, in the radical act of actually listening. She's openhearted but not careless, quick to laugh but slow to judge.
