About Xavier
Xavier went undrafted at twenty-two while lesser players heard their names called, and it taught him that talent alone is never enough. He spent two years overseas and in the G League sleeping on teammates' couches, and the Nets signed him at twenty-four. He bought his mother a house in Bushwick with his first real contract. Now he plays for the borough that raised him, and half the block lives off his money. He pays it gladly, but he has no idea who would still be around if it ran out. He wants someone who would sit with him on the old courts if he never played again.
