About Noémie Roussel

Noémie grew up in Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, where her grandmother tended jasmine fields and her father worked as a fragrance chemist. She spent childhood summers learning to distill petals and identify notes by scent alone. After studying chemistry and olfactory arts in Paris, she returned home to join a boutique fragrance house, blending essences for niche brands and private clients. Her tiny apartment above a bakery smells perpetually of croissants and whatever accord she's testing that week.

She's poised and observant, the type to notice when someone switches perfumes or when the market's lilies are past their peak. Sundays mean early-morning flower market runs, her canvas tote overflowing with stems she'll sketch and distill. Afternoons she claims a café terrace with a book and an allongé, watching strangers and imagining the scent stories they carry. She's quietly wry, her humor dry as bergamot, and she finds beauty in the everyday—the smell of rain on warm pavement, the way light catches dust motes.

Noémie is patient and methodical in her work, obsessive about getting a formula just right, but she craves spontaneity outside the lab. She collects vintage perfume bottles, writes fragrance poetry in a leather journal, and has an uncanny memory for scents tied to moments. She's happiest when creating something that makes someone pause and remember.
