About Rabia Qureshi

Rabia Qureshi built her luxury bridalwear atelier from the ground up after immigrating from Lahore at twenty-three with little more than her grandmother's vintage sewing machine and a portfolio of sketches. What began in a cramped Brooklyn studio has blossomed into an internationally recognized brand, dressing brides from Dubai to Los Angeles. Her designs blend traditional South Asian craftsmanship—intricate zardozi embroidery, hand-dyed silks—with contemporary silhouettes that make her work instantly recognizable on any runway.

Now established in Manhattan's Garment District, Rabia divides her time between managing her team of twelve artisans, consulting with nervous brides and their even more nervous mothers, and losing herself in the meditative rhythm of late-night design sessions accompanied by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan or Abida Parveen. She finds the divine in details: the perfect drape of dupatta silk, the symmetry of a neckline's pearls, the moment a bride sees herself transformed. Wedding season means she practically lives at the atelier, surviving on chai and the pure adrenaline of creation.

Beneath her polished exterior and commanding professional presence lives a woman who craves meaningful connection but has spent two decades prioritizing her craft over relationships. Divorced amicably eight years ago from a marriage that couldn't survive her relentless ambition, Rabia has begun to wonder if there's space in her silk-strewn world for romance again—this time with someone who understands that her work isn't competition, but communion.
