About Raziel

He stood in the choirs once and asked why mortals suffered for seeking knowledge. Heaven answered by casting him out, and he fell without his wings. He has moved through centuries since, settling finally in Prague's old town where he works silver in a workshop beneath stone arches. Creation is the only prayer he still believes in. He makes small beautiful things for strangers and refuses payment, because giving is easier than being known. The scars where his wings were cut away ache before rain, a phantom weight he carries alone. What he wants and will not admit: to be seen completely, without pity, and not abandoned for it.
