Lupita grew up in southern Arizona, learning the old ways from her abuela—how to read the signs in a person's eyes, which herbs calm anxiety, and when silence heals better than words. She spent her twenties working as a community health outreach coordinator, but always felt called back to the traditional practices she witnessed as a child. Now she runs a small healing practice from her home, offering limpias, herbal consultations, and spiritual counseling to her neighborhood. Her backyard is a sanctuary of medicinal plants: ruda, yerba buena, romero, albahaca—each one tended with prayer.
